Professor H.M.V.R. Herath, CEng, SMIEEE, SM Optica serves as the Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Peradeniya. A distinguished academic and innovator, he has previously held the position of Director of Research, served as a Visiting Professor at Technion, and co-founded Farbe Technologies.

Professor G. M. R. I. Godaliyadda (Senior Member,IEEE) is a Professor of Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Deputy Director (Research) at the Multidisciplinary AI Research Center, University of Peradeniya, and co-founder of Farbe Technologies. His work translates smart data analytics and AI into deployable software solutions across computer vision, smart grids, remote sensing, biomedical analytics, societal analytics, and wearable technologies. He is a multi-time Presidential Award recipient and has led internationally funded projects, including IDRC (Canada) and NVIDIA grants for AI4COVID and Heritage AI R&D.
